The permanent magnet drum, also known as a magnetic pulley or dry high-intensity magnetic separator (available in two magnetic system configurations—semi-magnetic and fully magnetic)—is a rotating permanent-magnet iron remover characterized by high magnetic field strength, deep magnetic action, maintenance-free operation, zero power consumption, and no demagnetization over long-term use.
